A: One of the primary goals of this site, as outlined in our mission statement, is to "provide a repository of easily accessible, trustworthy information about games so that its visitors can make informed decisions before making a purchase." Quite frankly, we have grown weary of the immaturity and irresponsibility harbored by some of our competitors' websites, and will do everything in our power to prevent the same deterioration from plaguing our community.

Q: How else can I help the community?
A: Aside from becoming a reviewer yourself, you can help the CriticalGamers.net community by offering your suggestions and comments to both the reviewers and the site administrators. If you are in a position where you receive breaking industry news, we could also use your assistance. We are also in need of people who have proper equipment for taking in-game screenshots. Console dev-kits, press-kit access, or even a TV tuner with high definition inputs would be helpful... our one broadcast resolution tv tuner doesn't quite cut it. Experienced web designers who can offer suggestions for the site are encouraged to do so. And of course, you can help us pay the bills.

Q: Who are you? Who am I? What am I doing in this closet?
A: We are your average gamers, we play your average games; we just like writing about them too. More information about us can be found here. As for your other two questions... Q: What is this 'Reviewerscore' I keep hearing about, and how is it calculated?
A: A reviewer's Reviewerscore is a karma-like feature that we have here at CriticalGamers.net to help our viewers evaluate how much they should trust a review. An individual's Reviewerscore is calculated when he or she logs into the member control panel, and is based on many factors to derive what we believe is the most fair measure of a reviewer's contribution to the community. A reviewer can increase their Reviewerscore by being more active on the forums, posting more reviews, posting higher quality reviews, and by rating other reviews. Both regular members and reviewers have weighted review rating levels, giving them the ability to have a greater impact on a review's rating. This is based on the principle that experienced members and reviewers will know a good (or bad) review when they see one, and helps improve the quality of the site.
